Stir it up – 4 cocktails and Ting!

You Passionate Ting

To celebrate Usain Bolt’s gold medal, 50 years of Jamaican Independence, or just that the sun *might* come out this weekend, we’re sharing a great series of cocktail recipe using Ting, the Jamaican grapefruit soft drink. We’ve been sent some to try and can heartily recommend it – it’s a little like Lilt but more grown up, with more grapefruit. Get ready to stir it up!

You Passionate ting (alcohol-free)

  • 150ml passion fruit juice
  • 150ml apple juice
  • 35ml honey
  • green apple
  • 2 passion fruits
  • Top up with Ting!

Add all the ingredients to a jug filled with ice and stir. Finely chop the apple and
shell the 2 passion fruits and add to the mixture.

Paloma cocktail recipe

Authentic Paloma (Ting and tequila)

  • 35ml tequila – we recommend el Jimador Blanco Tequila
  • 4 lime wedges
  • Top up with Ting

Pour into a hurricane glass filled with ice and with a salt rim, the tequila and ting. Squeeze and drop the lime wedges into the drink and stir.

Wray 'n' Ting recipe

Wray ‘n’ ting (The Rum one)

  • 35ml rum
  • 15ml fresh lime juice
  • Top up with ting

Build all the ingredients into a sling glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime and grapefruit spiral.

Montingo Bay recipe

Montingo bay (Vodka/gin)

  • 50ml gin or vodka
  • 15ml fresh lime juice
  • 4 raspberries
  • 75ml apple juice
  • 20ml elderflower cordial
  • Top up with Ting

Add all but the ting to a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a highball glass filled with ice and top with ting. Garnish with a red apple fan and 2 raspberries.
